LONDON - A chartered surveyor who lost his idyllic country home to a by pass scheme which was never realised last night said no amount of money could compensate for the shattering of his "schoolboy dream".
Mr Maurice Balchin was speaking after he and his wife, Audrey, both in their 60s, won their "planning nightmare battle in the High Court.
