The controversial new traffic arrangements for Dublin that began yesterday will be discussed by officials from the Department of Transport and Dublin City Council today.
The Department sought the meeting after expressing reservations about the plan, especially the new road signs which they believe may contravene national regulations.

The Minister for Transport, Mr Brennan, had also expressed concern about the plan and revealed he had not been consulted about it.
The council proclaimed the new system a success yesterday, saying Dublin Bus reported shorter journey times and traffic onto O'Connell Street was reduced by 50 per cent.
But the plan was criticised by Fine Gael who said it was "sprung on motorists" and described the signs as "more of a hindrance than a help".
However, Labour said the plans had been flagged for years and criticised Mr Brennan saying his claim that his Department had not been consulted were "beyond belief".
