An inquest into the death of Ms Belinda Pereira was adjourned for hearing to July 29th at Dublin City Coroner's Court yesterday. Ms Pereira (23) was found dead in a short-lease apartment at Mellor Court, Liffey Street, on December 29th, 1996.

Insp Oliver Hanley said the investigation into her death was continuing, but he felt the inquest should go ahead.

The Dublin City Coroner, Dr Brian Farrell, said he would adjourn the matter for three months and asked Insp Hanley to inform Ms Pereira's family that the inquest would be heard in full on July 29th.
