A public meeting has been arranged by a group of Connacht supporters - known as Friends of Connacht Rugby - to discuss the serious threat to IRFU funding for the province.
Amid the uncertainty surrounding the province's future, organisers hope that all rugby supporters, players and officials in Connacht at club, schools and provincial level will attend.
The meeting will be held in the Galway Radisson SAS Hotel tomorrow at 8 p.m. - admission is free and open to the public.
The meeting will be compered by Ralph O'Gorman, rugby correspondent for Galway BAY FM, and has the full support of the leading clubs in Connacht, including Galwegians, Buccaneers and Corinthians.
According to a spokesperson: "This meeting has been called due to the palpable sense of outrage which exists in the Connacht rugby community at the apparent threat to our existence.
"However, there is a huge willingness amongst rugby people to take action rather than sit idly by. The meeting therefore aims to firstly provide an update on the current status quo, and then seek the views and inputs of the public, so that an action plan can be agreed to ensure the survival of rugby in Connacht".
