Combat troops leave Chechnya

MOSCOW - Russia's last combat troops withdrew from Chechnya yesterday, Interfax reported. A government spokesman said responsibility for maintaining peace in the breakaway republic was now entirely in the hands of Mr Aslan Maskhadov, the interim premier of Chechnya's ruling coalition and his Interior Minister.
