Colombian rebels plan to hand over four hostages soon to a humanitarian commission once security conditions are guaranteed, a Farc commander told Telesur television channel on Sunday.

Jorge Enrique Botero, a journalist travelling with the commission, said military operations had complicated the handover.

The Farc planned to release three captive police officers and one soldier as a humanitarian gesture.
