Nursing staff at St Joseph's Regional Hospital, Clonmel, Co Tipperary, began a work-torule yesterday morning. The 120 staff started their action in response to what they described as inadequate staffing levels and severe over-crowding in many wards since the Christmas period. From yesterday nurses are refusing to accept extra beds in wards and to staff a treatment centre.
