Washington - A federal judge ruled yesterday that the US President, Mr Bill Clinton, could not invoke executive privilege to limit testimony by two key aides in the White House sex scandal inquiry, sources close to the case said.

The ruling by US District Judge Norma Holloway Johnson represented a setback in Clinton's legal battle to keep prosecutors from questioning White House advisers Mr Bruce Lindsey and Mr Sidney Blumenthal about certain conversations.
