Irish exploration company Circle Oil said it has “successfully tested” a well in Morocco, according to a statement released today.
Exploration well CGD-9 in Morocco is a potential producer the company said with the well testing gas at a sustained rate of 8.86 million standard cubic feet per day of gas.
The company said a technical evaluation of the results was underway, Circle CEO David Hough said the discovery was excellent news.
"The well has been completed as a potential producer and the initial field test results are above our expectations for this area."
