Christian Stevens dies in Dublin

The writer, teacher and journalist, Dr Christian Stevens, died suddenly in Dublin yesterday. Formerly of The Irish Times sub-editors' desk, he later taught English at NUI Galway. He was born in Great Falls, Montana, and was the author of a number of books. Dr Stevens had retired to Glenealy, Co Wicklow, and is survived by his wife, Nuala, and a large family.
