Christian Solidarity Party qualifies for broadcast

The Christian Solidarity Party will qualify for a party political broadcast on RTE during the general election

The Christian Solidarity Party will qualify for a party political broadcast on RTE during the general election. The fielding of two candidates in Cavan Monaghan brings its total number of candidates to seven, the minimum necessary to secure a broad cast. However, as it has no seats in the outdoing Dail, the length of time allocated to it will be brief, possibly only 30 seconds.

The party's leader, Dr Gerard Casey, announced yesterday that Mr Larry McGinn is joining Mr Gene Flood in Cavan Monaghan.

Dr Casey is a candidate in Dun Laoghaire.
