Paris - The French President, Mr Jacques Chirac, called yesterday for a review of the eight-yearold international oil embargo on Baghdad.
Acknowledging that the oil embargo imposed on Iraq following the 1991 Gulf War was a politically sensitive issue, Mr Chirac indicated that he thought the conditions should be eased - as long as checks remained on Iraq's weapon-building programme.
