The woman who died in a road crash in Mullingar on Saturday was identified last night as Dolores McCormack of Delvin, Co Westmeath.

The 52-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision which took place at Ballagh on the Delvin road, outside of the town, at about 6pm.

Two girls were passengers. A seven-year-old is said to be in a critical condition while a 14-year-old has minor injuries. The injuries of the driver of the second vehicle, a male in his 40s, are described as not life-threatening.
