An explosion at a central residential neighbourhood in the Sri Lankan capital today killing two, including a child.
The car bomb detonated near a college in a central residential area of the Sri Lankan capital, the military said.
A military spokesman said the bomb was in a van near St Paul's college. "There are several casualties," he added.
A witness saw the body of a child on the tarmac, with a towel draped over it as an elderly man cried nearby. The body of the second dead person was still in the van.
