Cattle `passport' scheme in force

New tagging procedures for new-born calves have been issued by the Department of Agriculture. The Minister for Agriculture, Mr Walsh, said the new cattle identity card/ passport relating to calves born on or after January 1st must accompany the animal when moved from farm to farm, to mart, to export or to slaughter.
