Publisher and radio and television presenter Norah Casey has left the Dragons’ Den series.

She said she had decided not to proceed with the next series, due to be filmed early next year, because of other media and business commitments. This month she joined the new RTÉ afternoon show, Today, co-hosting with Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh. In September she joined Newstalk’s Breakfast show as co-anchor with Chris Donoghue.

She said she had really enjoyed her time on the series. “It is an excellent programme that has done so much for entrepreneurs and businesses in Ireland.”

Niall O’Farrell, the founder of BlackTie, earlier announced that he would not be returning to the programme.
