The Government must establish a network of “career clinics” to manage and achieve effective public service reform, career coach John Fitzgerald has said.

“The Government plans to reduce public service staff numbers by 37,500 by 2015 and reduce the public service pay bill by €2.5 billion.

“This will see top talent flee the public service . . . Establishing a national network of career clinics with a tiny percentage of those savings will result in ensuring people make the right career choice and embrace change,” he said.
