Windsor Car Auctions, on the Belgard Road in Tallaght, Co Dublin, was severely damaged by fire yesterday. The fire started shortly before 2 a.m. and was extinguished by firefighters after four hours. Some neighbouring houses were evacuated.
The managing director of the company, Mr Anthony O'Farrell, said it was thought 10 or 11 cars were destroyed. A number of others were badly damaged. The cause of the fire is not thought to be suspicious.
