Taming the Tiger: Social Exclusion in a Globalised Ireland was launched by Des Geraghty, former MEP and Siptu president, in City Hall, Dublin.

The book, published by Tasc, a think tank for action on social change, is based on a recent seminar series called "Emerging from the Shadow of the Tiger" held in partnership between Tasc and NorDubCo.

Speaking at the launch of the book, director of Tasc, Paula Clancy, said the boom of the Celtic Tiger had created many changes for Ireland, from an economic, political and social perspective.
