The nine contestants on the Cabin Fever TV series have decided to return home pending a decision on the future of the series.

The move follows the sinking off the Donegal coast on Friday of the sailing vessel Cabin Fever 1 on which the reality show was to have been run.

No one was injured in the sinking although the contestants are said to be severely traumatised.

Today the contestants left Tory Island along with the production team by boat for the mainland before travelling home.
