These decorative marble busts of a lady and a gentleman are among 400 lots of furniture and fine art to be auctioned at Thomas Adams in Blackrock, Co Dublin, next Tuesday, October 8th.
The pair carry an estimate of €800 to €1,000 and €800 or so more will buy a pair of marble pedestals on which to place them.
Other notable lots include a fine Victorian mahogany three- door bookcase, €3000 to €3,500; a six-branch Waterford chandelier, €1,500 to €1,800; a Geyer baby grand piano, €800 to €1,200 and a selection of silverware, including salvers, dishes, and tea and coffee services.
