Following the strike by stage hands in the Cork Opera House last Tuesday night, the Cork premiere of the musical Buskin finally reached the stage last night.

The musical was written by Brian O'Reilly, of Fermoy, Co Cork - a member of the Loudest Whisper.

Mr O'Reilly said last night he was delighted that the dispute had ended and that his show would now go on stage.

Last Tuesday's opening had to be abandoned when stage and lighting staff walked out in a last-minute confrontation over conditions.
