The Kerry Association in Dublin last night picked Mr Ned O'Shea as its Kerry Person of the Year at a reception in the head office of the ESB in Dublin.

Mr O'Shea, formerly from, Annascaul, is now a businessman who owns O'Shea's Hotel, Talbot Street, Dublin, and the Merchant Pub, Bridge Street, Dublin. According to the chairman of the association, Mr John F. O'Sullivan, Mr O'Shea keeps a keen interest in Kerry issues. He visits people from Kerry who are in Dublin hospitals, particularly those without relatives or friends in the city.
