London - The Chancellor of the Exchequer Mr Gordon Brown's wife, Sarah, gave birth to a baby girl yesterday, seven weeks early.
The girl, delivered by Caesarean section on medical advice following a routine scan on Thursday, weighed just two pounds and four ounces. She was born at the Forth Park Hospital in Kirkcaldy, Fife.
