A British woman has been shot dead and her husband critically injured in a shooting during their Carribean honeymoon.

A British woman has been shot dead and her husband critically injured in a shooting during their Carribean honeymoon.

Catherine Mullany died from her injuries after the shooting on the island of Antigua yesterday.

Her husband Benjamin, of Pontardawe, near Swansea, Wales, is fighting for his life in hospital with critical injuries, the British Foreign Office said.

Local police are investigating whether the couple were shot during a robbery.
