During the hearing in Boston, the Briton also declared himself a follower of Osama bin Laden.

Reid said he does not recognise the US justice system but agreed he committed the acts outlined in the charge against him.

He is accused of trying to kill the 197 passengers and crew members aboard an American Airlines flight from Paris to Miami on December 22nd.
