London - Legislation to ratify the Ottawa Convention banning anti-personnel landmines will be published next week, the British Prime Minister, Mr Blair, announced to cheers in the Commons yesterday.
At question time Mr Blair said that if the Bill's passage was completed in this month, as the government wished, Britain would be among the first 40 states to have ratified the convention.
