TWO boy witnesses in a sexual abuse case will give evidence via a video link when a 42-year-old Newry shopkeeper goes on trial. Judge John Petrie granted a prosecution application in Armagh Crown Court yesterday that the boys, aged 8 and 11, should not have to face the accused man in court. Benedict Crawley, of Glenhill Park has pleaded not guilty to eight charges of indecent assault and gross indecency.
