A 10-year-old boy was killed yesterday when his bike collided with a lorry outside Ballaghaderreen, Co Roscommon. One of a large family of settled travellers, he was pronounced dead at the scene and taken to Roscommon County Hospital, where a post-mortem is to be carried out this morning. His name was not released.
