Boy injured in Offaly dog attack

A seven-year-old boy was recovering today after being attacked by two dogs in Co Offaly last night.

A seven-year-old boy was recovering today after being attacked by two dogs in Co Offaly last night.

The incident happened at around 9.30pm on the Sycamore Estate in Edenderry.

It is understood he was taken to Midlands Regional Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not life-threatening. Gardai are investigating the attack.

Gardai confirmed the two dogs were taken into the care of the dog warden in Tullamore.
