A roadside bomb killed two US soldiers and wounded two others in eastern Afghanistan today, according to Afghan officials in the Nangahar province.
A Taliban spokesman claimed responsibility for the attack in a telephone call to a Reuters correspondent in the provincial capital of Jalalabad.
"Two soldiers were killed and two wounded while patrolling, they belonged to the coalition forces," a spokesman for the governor in the province said.
