The body of a 21-year-old man has been recovered from a lake in Co Mayo.
A woman walking along Lough Lannagh in Castlebar at about 7.00 a.m. saw the body in the water and notified the gardaí.
The man’s name has not been released until his next of kin have been informed. He is known to be from the Castlebar area.
Clothing, believed to belong to the man, was found along the lakeshore. The body was removed to the Mayo General Hospital where a post mortem will be carried out.
