Gardaí in Mill Street, Galway city, are investigating the discovery of a body this afternoon.
The body of a man was found in the Riverside estate area of the city at around 1.30pm.
The man is believed to be from his mid-40s, from Latvia, and to have died at an apartment in Riverside, close to the N17.
The deputy state pathologist is expected to carry out a postmortem on the man’s body tomorrow.
