Srinagar - Three Indian security force personnel were killed and many wounded when separatist guerrillas set off a landmine in the restive Kashmir valley, police said yesterday.

They said a powerful landmine planted by militants exploded when an Indian security force vehicle ran over it at Wangam village late yesterday.

"Three security force personnel died on the spot and twelve other soldiers and a civilian were wounded, some of them seriously," a police spokesman said.
