Mr Martin Bell, the former BBC war correspondent challenging Mr Neil Hamilton, the former Tory minister at the centre of the cash-for-questions scandal, is to hand in his nomination papers today having been advised yesterday that his preferred title, "Independent anti-corruption", could leave him open to legal action.
Mr Hamilton and his wife, Christine, handed in his papers and afterwards, Mr Hamilton said Mr Bell should "go back to Hampsted".
Mr Hamilton declined to discuss his other opponent, a seven foot tall transvestite known as, Miss Moneypenny.
