British army bomb experts have made safe a bomb discovered at a house in east Belfast this morning.

The suspect device was found on the doorstep of a house on Shaw Street. Police believe the occupant may have been targeted in the mistaken belief he was a prison officer.

This incident was one of a number of alerts in Belfast which disrupted rush hour traffic.
