Britain's third largest bank Barclays is to remove four funds from trading on the Irish Stock Exchange.

Britain's third largest bank Barclays is to remove four funds from trading on the Irish Stock Exchange.

The Smaller Companies Equity Market Neutral Fund, the UK Equity Market Neutral Fund I, the UK Equity Market Neutral Fund II and the European Equity Market Neutral Fund of Barclays Global Investors will be delisted from today, Barclays said in a statement to the Irish Stock Exchange.

According to news reports Barclays said the motivation for the move was to place the funds in a in a more flexible regulatory environment and they are expected to be moved to the Cayman Islands.
