The accountant of Mr Michael Bailey will be called to the witness box today after he was asked to produce documents and working papers from June 20th, 1985, to November 1997.

The matter arose when Mr Bailey was giving evidence about payments to Mr Gogarty in 1989. He had said a record was held by his firm's accountants.

In the afternoon Mr Joseph O'Toole of McGrath & Co, accountants, said Mr Thomas Bailey had rung him before lunch about it. Mr O'Toole told the tribunal they did not normally keep papers going back over 10 years. If they had them they would make them available.

The chairman said he would ask Mr O'Toole to produce all relevant papers from 1985 to 1997. He said Mr Bailey appeared to be co-operating and consenting in every way. He saw it as a further indication of Mr Bailey's willingness to co-operate.
