A teenager who was arrested by gardaí, when they found him drunk on top of a high-rise building, has been released on bail, on condition that he keeps off the roofs of the flat complexes in Dublin's Fatima Mansions.

Judge Leo Malone heard at the Dublin Children's Court that the teenage boy (16) had been arrested early yesterday for trespassing and being intoxicated.

The arresting officer, Kilmainham Garda Anthony O'Connor, asked Judge Malone to ban the teenager from going to the top of any of the buildings in the flat complex, and to impose a nightly curfew while he is on bail.

Judge Malone released the teenager on bail until September 11th.
