Baby taken into care

The Mid-Western Health Board yesterday took an 11-month-old girl into emergency care by order of Limerick District Court.

The Mid-Western Health Board yesterday took an 11-month-old girl into emergency care by order of Limerick District Court.

The mother, a Welsh woman, had been questioned by gardai earlier, while she and the baby were staying at a guest house in the city. It is understood the child was the subject of an Emergency Protection Order issued in South Wales.
