An 18-month-old baby boy has drowned in Co Cavan. The boy was reported missing from his home in Crossdowney yesterday afternoon. At 7.40 p.m. he was retrieved from a nearby river where he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The boy’s body was removed to Cavan General Hospital where a post-mortem is due to take place
