Johannesburg - Mr Eugene Terreblanche, leader of the white supremacist Afrikaner Resistance Movement (AWB), accepted responsibility yesterday for a right wing "reign of terror" before South Africa's 1994 election.

An affidavit was read at a Truth and Reconciliation Commission hearing into the amnesty applications of 10 AWB members serving jail sentences for their part in a bombing campaign intended to derail the country's first all-race election on April 27th, 1994.
