Austria could block EU reform

Paris - Austria could block the EU's enlargement reform plans unless sanctions maintained by its 14 partners are lifted, the Austrian Foreign Minister, Ms Benita Ferrero-Waldner, warned yesterday. "We are for enlargement and for the reforms. But if the irritation continues to mount, the government could come under severe pressure to boycott [the reform process]," she told the French newspaper, Le Figaro.
