ASTI executive calls for rejection of pay deal

Asti's central executive committee has recommended a rejection of the national Partnership agreement by its members.

Asti's central executive committee has recommended a rejection of the national Partnership agreement by its members.

This follows on the rejection of the same deal by the Teachers Union of Ireland executive last week.

According to Asti the reason for rejection is that the 10 per cent pay rise over 27 months is at or just above the rate of inflation.

Asti members will be balloted on the recommendation over the next few weeks.
