A man was further remanded in custody at Galway District Court yesterday in connection with the death of his mother at her home in Ballindooley, near Galway city nine days ago.
Mr Sean Fahy (40), from Ballindooley, Headford Road, Galway, is charged with assaulting his mother, Mrs. Margaret Fahy (78), causing her harm, on September 11th last.
He was remanded to appear before Galway District Court again next Wednesday.
