Extensive fire and smoke damage was caused to a bar in Ballymena, Co Antrim, early yesterday morning after three masked men entered the premises shortly after midnight and set the bar alight. One of the men was armed. Three people who were on the premises at the time escaped uninjured.

A car and caravan were scorch-damaged in an arson attack on a house in Belfast after 3 a.m. yesterday. A petrol canister was set alight on the driveway of the house in Arlington Park, off Finaghy Road North. Nobody was injured.
