Gardai in Galway are investigating an armed robbery yesterday when over £5,000 was taken outside the Great Southern Corrib Hotel.
Shortly after noon, two men wearing motorcycle helmets approached a member of the hotel's security staff who was carrying a bag of money to a security van. One of the men was believed to be armed. They escaped on a motorcycle.
