UP at Darby O'Gills on Tuesday a musical evening of a totally different kind took place when Dublin singer Melanie O'Reilly released her second album, House of the Dolphins, which includes lyrics by poet Nuala Ni Dhomhnaill, to an enthusiastic crowd.

O'Reilly, who also works part-time as a jazz vocal tutor at Newpark Music Centre, performed tracks from the album to an audience that included Ronan Smith from the Riverdance production team; Walter Kirwan from the Taoiseach's office; Mike Moloney who has just started a new show, Moloney at the Weekend on 2FM and John Gormley, TD.
