Foster care allowances are to go up in June, but the rise for children over 12 is less than £3 a week while a rise of more than £12 goes to younger children.

From 4th June, foster parents will get £64.70 a week for children over 12, compared with £61.80 at present. They will get £57.74 a week for younger children, up from the current £45.60.
