The Collector General has secured judgment for more than £700,000 for unpaid VAT, PAYE, PRSI and 12 years' interest against a Co Cork sand and gravel merchant. At the High Court yesterday Mr Justice O Caoimh granted an application to enter judgment for £700,363 against Finbar Cronin, of Blarney, Co Cork.
An application for judgment against him for more than £900,000 in alleged unpaid income tax, plus interest, was adjourned until November.
